Reimagine The Way We Care For People Living With Obesity
We are proud to offer the Food for Health Program—a practical, evidence-based initiative designed to help healthcare teams confidently integrate nutrition into obesity, cardiometabolic, and chronic disease care. Supported by the American College of Physicians, the Arizona Chapter of the American College of Physicians, and the AZ ACP Task Force on Obesity Education, the program is built for real-world clinical implementation and aligns with evolving national priorities from the Association of American Medical Colleges, Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and federal efforts advancing nutrition, prevention, and chronic disease care.
Who Should Participate?
- Physicians of all specialties, medical students, dietitians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, and social workers/case managers involved in obesity care or team-based practice.
Resources
- Format: Peer-led education, virtual teaching kitchen, dietitian support, and personalized coaching
- Hands-On Learning: Apply strategies to 5 de-identified patients (including yourself)
- Time Commitment: 6 months, with an accountability buddy
- Focus: Patient-centered nutrition, obesity care, and lifestyle strategies
By actively applying what you learn, participants can see tangible improvements in their own health and patient outcomes.
Thank you for your commitment to improving care!
